Day 1 | Provisioning, Boarding & Briefing — Nice

Arrival in Nice for provisioning, boarding, and a welcome briefing. Time to settle into the boat, meet the crew, and ease into the rhythm of the journey ahead.

Nice → Calvi (Corsica)

We depart Nice early in the morning, leaving the pastel colours of the Promenade des Anglais slowly fading behind us as the boat heads into open Mediterranean waters.
By afternoon, we arrive in Calvi, Corsica’s golden gateway: pine trees lining the shore, a historic citadel rising dramatically above the bay, and neon-turquoise waters washing onto the beach. The evening is spent in Calvi harbour, calm and atmospheric.

Calvi → Ajaccio

Today’s route follows Corsica’s wild coastline. Granite cliffs glow with deep red tones, shadows of intense blue meet the shore, and hidden coves appear between rugged headlands.
At midday, we anchor in crystal-clear waters for a swim underwater visibility reaching up to 30 metres. Approaching Ajaccio, Corsica’s mountain silhouette is bathed in golden light. The evening unfolds in a romantic marina setting in Napoleon’s hometown.

Ajaccio → Bonifacio

One of Corsica’s most magical sailing days. As we head south, the coastline becomes increasingly dramatic sculpted rock formations, saturated colours, and sheer cliffs.
Arrival in Bonifacio is unforgettable: a cliff-top town perched on white limestone, accessed through a narrow fjord-like entrance carved into the rock. Towering walls, rising cliffs, and a city seemingly suspended above the sea create a truly cinematic moment.

Bonifacio → Santa Teresa (Sardinia) → La Maddalena Archipelago

A short yet unforgettable crossing between two islands through the Bouches de Bonifacio. Winds are often ideal here, and the water takes on near-Caribbean shades.
A brief stop in Santa Teresa di Gallura marks our arrival in Italy: a quiet “welcome to Sardinia” moment — before continuing toward the La Maddalena Archipelago. Shallow turquoise waters, smooth granite formations, and some of the clearest seas in the Mediterranean define the day. Time is spent swimming in secluded calas, fully immersed in a sense of freedom.

Cala Santa Maria → Cala Lunga

A day devoted entirely to two of Sardinia’s most beautiful bays.
First, Cala Santa Maria, with its milky-white sand and glass-clear waters; then Cala Lunga, a quiet, secluded turquoise corridor framed by rock. Paddleboarding, snorkelling, shoreline walks, and a light lunch shape an unhurried, sea-led day.

Cala Lunga → Porto Cervo

In the afternoon, we sail into Porto Cervo, the heart of Costa Smeralda. Pastel-toned architecture, an elegant marina crowd, boutiques, and aperitivo tables line the harbour.
