A rare Caribbean route shaped by culture as much as wind. Sailing from the elegant bay of Cienfuegos into the quiet, untouched islands of the Canarreos Archipelago, this journey balances open passages with time suspended in place. Colonial Trinidad adds rhythm, colour, and history before returning to calm Cuban waters. Warm seas, steady breezes, and a sense of discovery define this early-season crossing.

Day 1 | Provisioning, Boarding & Briefing

Arrival and provisioning. Guests settle into the boat, followed by a welcome and safety briefing. Time to get comfortable, meet the crew, and ease into the rhythm of the journey ahead.

Day 2 | Cienfuegos → Cayo Guano del Este

We depart early on Sunday morning, reaching Cayo Guano del Este after approximately 5–6 hours at sea.
The island is known for its calm waters and surrounding coral reefs: an ideal setting for our first snorkelling session.
Anchored just offshore, we spend the evening immersed in the magic of the Caribbean, with warm waters and quiet surroundings setting the tone for the days to come.

Overnight: at anchor off Cayo Guano del Este

Day 3 | Cayo Guano del Este → Cayo Largo del Sur

(Short passage through coral islets)

The day begins with a short but visually striking sail between coral islets.
We spend the day at Playa Sirena and Playa Paraíso, two of Cuba’s most celebrated beaches. White sands, coconut-scented air, and postcard-perfect Caribbean scenery define the experience.

Optional activities include SUP, snorkelling, and shoreline walks. A midday swim in a crystal-clear lagoon completes the day.

Overnight: Cayo Largo Marina

Day 4 | Cayo Largo → Cayo Rosario (≈ 18 NM)

The morning is dedicated to snorkelling in the protected reefs of Cayo Largo — home to sea turtles, vibrant corals, and dramatic coral canyons that reveal the Caribbean’s most refined underwater landscapes.

After swimming in tropical lagoons, we sail toward Cayo Rosario, our anchorage for the night.
Sunset unfolds within a natural reserve: flamingos, deep red skies, and an almost unreal stillness. At night, the stars take over the Milky Way clearly visible to the naked eye.

Overnight: at anchor off Cayo Rosario

Day 5 | Cayo Rosario → Trinidad / Casilda Harbour (≈ 35 NM)

This leg delivers one of the most rewarding sailing experiences of the route.
We arrive in Trinidad in the afternoon, transitioning from open Caribbean waters into the heart of colonial Cuba.

UNESCO-listed Trinidad offers colourful houses, vintage American cars, street-side cocktails, and an unmistakable rhythm. The evening continues ashore with live music, salsa in the streets, and rum-infused nights. Culture, music, and gastronomy come together in what is often the most anticipated stop of the journey.

Overnight: Casilda Harbour

Day 6 | Trinidad → Cienfuegos

We begin our return sail toward Cienfuegos. Arrival is in the late afternoon, with the final night spent aboard in the marina. A calm closing to a journey shaped by sea, culture, and discovery.
